Straumann
Straumann is a Swiss dental implant manufacturer headquartered in Basel, with roots in a research institute founded in 1954. The company introduced its first dental implant in 1974 and today produces implant systems, the crown and bridge components that attach to them, and biomaterials used to support the jawbone. It is known for technologies developed in house, including the SLActive implant surface and Roxolid, a titanium-zirconium alloy.
